On Thursday, January 25, 2024, Canadian Ambassador to Japan Ian McQuei was held at the 303 classroom of Lecture Block B, Shimonoseki City University. This lecture was hosted by the Rotary Club of Shimonoseki Central Club and co-hosted by the Shimokansai Rotary Club and our university.

　Canadian Ambassador to Japan Ian McQuei was studying abroad at the former Shimonoseki Daiichi High School (Shimonoseki Secondary School) with a study abroad program supported by the International Rotary. At the lecture, he talked about his memories of those days with slides, and talked a lot about the events since he was assigned to Japan as an ambassador, the connections between Japan and Canada, and its importance.
　During the Q & A session with the ambassador, they answered a lot of questions from our university students, citizens, and other students from other universities.

　 The lecture was attended by many visitors from inside and outside the camp, and the event was very successful.
