#LectureIan Mackay, Ambassador of Canada to Japan, was held.
On Thursday, January 25, 2024 a lecture by Canadian Ambassador to Japan Ian Mackay was held at Lecture Block B 303, Shimonoseki City University. This lecture was held by the Rotary Club of Shimonoseki Chuo, co-hosted by the Rotary Club of Shimonoseki, and co-hosted by the Rotary Club of Shimo Kansai and Tohoku University.
Ian Mackay, Ambassador of Canada to Japan, was studying at the former Shimonoseki Daiichi High School (Shimonoseki Secondary School) under a study abroad program supported by Rotary International. At the lecture, he talked about his memories of that time with slides, and talked a lot about the events since he was assigned to Japan as an ambassador, the wide range of connections between Japan and Canada, and its importance.
During the question-and-answer session with the ambassador, they answered a variety of questions from students from other universities, including our students and citizens.
The lecture was attended by many visitors from inside and outside the university, and the event ended successfully.
