From the five subjects of humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, life and health sciences, human rights and symbiosis, we aim to acquire a wide range of subjects according to one's interests, and acquire advanced and diverse cultures. .
Shimoseki Studies
Shimonoseki Gaku is a subject of liberal arts education of our university, which aims to educate and research rooted in the community. It consists of three parts: sightseeing in Shimonoseki, Shimonoseki's industry and Mirai, and PBL (problem-solving learning). Students who spend four years in Shimonoseki are proud of, culture, nature and environment In addition to industry, it is a content that allows you to understand various issues as a local city, such as aging population. In addition, while introducing the various measures we are currently working on, we conduct classes that transcend the boundaries of liberal arts subjects, where we will consider solutions for the future together with students.
Career Education
Students can take "career design" from the first year to improve their qualities and develop the necessary skills for social and professional independence after graduation. In the "work experience training" for first and second graders and "internship" for third graders conducted in Japan and overseas, it is not possible to learn only on the desk while interacting with various people inside and outside the university. We also provide opportunities to demonstrate our expertise and abilities that cannot be done as a lesson subject. Through these career education, we are working to develop human resources who can help society from broaden our horizons and look at society.

Problem-solving learning PBL
PBL is a subject in which students work on issues and issues from companies and governments while receiving guidance from working adults on issues and issues.
Through PBL, students can learn the importance of building teamwork and improve their communication skills.
In December, a debriefing session will be held with companies and governments, and students will make presentations. The activity report will be compiled at the end of January based on the content of the interim report meeting.
