Campus life

One day of student

Home student

What you want to do, interests, and do a lot of college life

I go to college for about 1 hour and 30 minutes each way by train and bicycle. When there is a 1st period, you have to leave the house at 6:50 or you can not return home with empty frames, but I think that the advantage of home students is that you can rely on your parents in terms of life.

I think one of the attractions of City University is that it is easy to make friends. In particular, English classes are divided into classes regardless of subjects, so it is easy to make friends with people in other departments. We play volleyball with friends in the gymnasium on the empty tops.

Originally, I went to Department of Public Management as a civil servant, but now I'm thinking of finding a job at a private company. High employment rate is also one of the attractions of City University. I have two activities: the Valley Club and the Co-op Student Committee New Student Supporter. Sometimes I think I'm busy, but I try as much as I can to be in any occupation. I think college students are able to do a lot of things they want to do. Please take on the challenge of what you want to do!

Living alone

Leaving the hometown and broaden your horizons in a new place

There was an option to go to a local university, but I went to Shimonoseki City University to gain various experiences and broaden my horizons. When I actually started living alone, I realized very well how I was blessed so far. I'm really grateful to my parents. Housekeeping, such as self-cooking, washing, and cleaning, is really difficult, but I think this is also an experience and I do my best every day. On weekdays, I often use the university cafeteria, but on holidays I also cook. The rice we often make is a stir-fried dish with vegetables and meat!

The reason I chose Department of Economics because I wanted to learn the flow of money and the structure of society, but in fact, I haven't decided on my future course, so I chose my teaching course. At City University, you can get a teacher's license if you work hard. Even if you haven't decided on a course yet, I think that one of the attractions of City University is that there are many occupations you can choose.

Unlike high school, the important thing in college life is to manage your own time and move actively from yourself. City University has a lot of gentle seniors, so please feel free to consult anything!

Yoshiki Matsuo

Mr.

Department of Economics 2nd year from Jinsei Gakuin High School in Nagasaki Prefecture

(As of April 1, 2023)

7:00

I'm cooking at home. On weekdays, I eat at the university cafeteria from breakfast, but on holidays I also try to cook myself to save money. The first confident work is curry.

12:00

I'm chatting with a friend on the terrace of the cafeteria. City University is a relatively small university, so there are many faces that you often see on campus, making it easy to create relationships with people.

15:00

I'm studying at the library using empty frames. If you try to take a teaching profession, you will get more subjects. Textbooks also have thick subjects, and time is used effectively to earn credits.

18:00

Class 5 ends at eight p.m It is important to move actively from yourself at university, such as taking extracurricular courses in addition to regular classes.
