The aim is to foster highly skilled professionals who can make accurate decisions on various economic issues by understanding modern economic, organizational and social mechanisms and considering them in relation to their own duties and positions.

Osamu Faculty of Economics Policy for Evaluation of Achievements
Osamu Osamu's achievements will be evaluated in accordance with the class plan (syllabus). At the end of the second year, students will evaluate the degree of achievement of Osamu and decide whether or not to take specialized exercise I. The contents that are expected to be acquired before enrollment are as follows.
- Basic knowledge and skills required to study economics include knowledge of Japanese language, geography and history, citizens, mathematics, science, and foreign languages learned at high schools, etc.
- The ability to discover and solve problems that are interested in daily social and economic issues and think about solutions by themselves as abilities such as thinking, judgment, and expressiveness, and communication skills cultivated through group learning and extracurricular activities at high schools.

Department of Economics seeks students who are interested in various issues in the local community and international community and have knowledge and skills that form the basis of theory, history, and policies related to economic and social issues, as well as logical reading, thinking, and quantitative analysis skills.
Department of International Commerce
Department of International Commerce seeks students who are interested in modern global business and corporate management, are motivated to actively take on international exchange, and have basic language skills and information processing skills.

Basic Policy for Admission Selection
In order to select students in line with our educational philosophy and goals, Shimonoseki City University Faculty of Economics conducts school-recommended selection, special selection (workers, returnees), international students, and third-year entrance examinations. Education and Research Purpose
The aim is to develop advanced professionals who can contribute to solving social and organizational issues and creating new value by mastering theories and practices related to mathematical statistics, informatics, and social sciences necessary for designing, analyzing, and utilizing diverse data.

- Through knowledge of statistics and related mathematical sciences, and experience of analysis utilizing them, students acquire the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data, and logically consider the knowledge obtained from them.

- In the first and second years, students acquire basic knowledge of mathematics related to data science, and in the second and third years, students acquire lecture and exercise courses to acquire a wide range of knowledge and skills related to statistical analysis methods.

Curriculum Policy

- In order to acquire a wide range of culture and cultivate a foundation for understanding diverse people and their lives, society and culture, we will assign basic education subjects and liberal arts education subjects. Basic education subjects are "Foreign Languages", liberal arts education subjects are "Liberal Arts" (humanities / social sciences / natural sciences / life / health sciences / human rights / symbiosis), and "Shimo-Kwansei Gakuin" By taking a wide range of courses from all fields, we will capture the diverse values of nursing subjects with a rich mind and flexible mind, and cultivate human ability to accept diversity.

- In order to understand the subjects of nursing (individuals, families, groups, and local communities) from various perspectives and to cultivate a foundation for practicing high-quality nursing based on scientific evidence, specialized basic education subjects are "human body structure and function I, II, III, IV", pharmacology, nutrition and metabolism, and subjects related to the social security system are systematically arranged.

- Lectures, exercises, and practical training subjects of specialized education subjects are systematically arranged in order to practice nursing based on specialized knowledge and scientific thinking. Specialized education subjects are organized in five subjects: basic nursing, clinical nursing, nursing for children and families, community nursing, and integration of nursing. Courses to learn healthcare as nursing that supports a healthy and healthy life regardless of health or unhealthy, such as "Life Stage and Healthcare Overview I ・ II", "Child Healthcare Methodology I ・ II", "Adult Healthcare Methodology I ・ II", etc. We will assign "International Health Nursing" so that health issues can be considered from a regional and global perspective.
