The student discount (student passenger fare discount certificate) is a system implemented with the aim of reducing the financial burden of studying and contributing to the promotion of school education.
You can receive a student discount (2 discounts on adult ordinary passenger fares) only if you are traveling on a section where the business km of JR companies exceeds 100 km one way and it is deemed necessary to travel for the following purposes.
If you wish, please issue it with an automatic certificate issuing machine. The validity period is within three months from the date of issue.

1. Homecoming on vacation and business use
2. Educational activities of regular classes, such as interview classes and examinations at schools that provide experimental training and communication through communication
3. Special education activities recognized by the school or non-regular educational activities related to physical education and culture
4. Examinations for employment or going to school
5. Participation in tours or events that the school deems appropriate for study
6. Treatment of injury and illness and other problems that may interfere with study
7. Accompaniment of parents' travel

☆ When boarding, the staff may be required to show your student ID card when boarding, so be sure to carry your student ID.

The automatic issuing machine is set at 20 per student per year (from April to March of the following year), but if you need more than 20 students per year, please contact the Student Support Division window.
In addition, please be careful not to use unauthorized use, such as using a student discount in the name of another person or transferring it to another person.
