On July 30 (Sun), at the Chofu Garden, a hands-on learning event for elementary school students and parents living in the city, Shimonoseki Parent and Child Summer School, Chofu Garden, Cable Net Shimonoseki Co., Ltd. (J: COM Shimonoseki), Shimonoseki City University Held jointly with the Shimonoseki City Board of Education.
At the event, two lectures were given by Dr. KISHIMOTO Mitsuhiro, a special professor at Tohoku University, on the ecology of whales and the relationship between Shimonoseki and whales, and an interesting arithmetic class by Associate Professor SASAKI Jun. Both lectures were held in a quiz format, and participants were working on unique issues with parents and children.
In addition to the lectures, there was also a tour of the whale materials exhibition room in the Chofu Garden with commentary by Dr. Kishimoto, and a tea ceremony experience to enjoy matcha and sweets.
