The Rubber Baseball Club will participate in the national competition.

The Rubber Baseball Club of Gifu University will participate in the national competition.

　The Rubber Baseball Club participated in the “2023 West Japan District Student Rubber Baseball Federation Spring I Club League” and won the championship, and decided to participate in the “46th All Japan Student Rubber Baseball Championship”. The tournament also has a number of excellent personal achievements such as MVP, excellent pitcher award, and best nine.

　On August 21, a send-off party was held, and a list of prize money from the university was handed over to the captain of the Rubber Baseball Club, Seiya Ohno (3rd year Department of Public Management) from Chair.

　At the send-off party, the Rubber Baseball Club talked about his enthusiasm for the national tournament. Captain Ohno said in a chat, "The atmosphere of the team is bright and a well-balanced and reliable team that always plays an active role when everyone is here."

　The department visited Shimonoseki City Hall on the same day and reported the decision to participate in the national tournament to Mayor Shintaro Maeda Shimoseki. Mayor Maeda gave me a word of encouragement saying, "I want you to carry the name of Shimonoseki and come to the national tournament with all your might." I look forward to playing an active part in the national competition of the Rubber Baseball Club.
