On December 1st (Thursday), an open lecture "Learning the Economy from History" was held online.

　In the course, students learned about the formation and history of the market society through the relationship between the characteristics of various cities and the economy, focusing on the trade culture brought to West Europe through the expedition of the crusade.

　The fact that the area still known for its famous specialty products had already been established since the Middle Ages, and the origin of the dog species that came to mind as a mountain rescue dog was the name of the pass that was active in rescue. There was a lot of knowledge that I wanted to talk to someone unexpectedly, and it was a course that made me feel like traveling in Western Europe in the Middle Ages.

　This is the end of the 2022 Open Lecture at Civic University. There are still some uncertainties about the future due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we will continue to prepare for open lectures next year, so please take this course when you decide to start the course.
