On July 6 (Wednesday), an open lecture "Newcomer High School Students' Career Formation-Initiatives at Public High Schools in Osaka and Kanagawa" was held online.

　Professor ISHIKAWA Tomoko, a specially appointed faculty member of the Urban Mirai Creation Strategy Organization, introduced the current situation of 37,000 newcomers who have moved to Japan due to family circumstances and other factors, as well as efforts to support newcomers and their parents in various places.

　In the course, a workshop was held assuming "support for newcomer students who have just arrived in Japan in September and do not understand Japanese, who are preparing to take high school in Japan six months later", and participants participated in various times and support The participants actively exchanged opinions on the desired support for each subject, and it was very fruitful.

　This is the last public lecture at Civic University in the spring semester of 2022, but we plan to continue offering open lectures in the fall semester. Details will be announced on the website at a later date. We look forward to your participation.
