Let's learn the essence of Japanese culture! Interview with the manager of Kappo cuisine Ryokan Toshimi Rei, who has been in business for the 78th year.

"Let's learn the essence of Japanese culture! This program has been held since fiscal 2008, with the aim of encouraging and understanding all students of our university, including international students, to become interested in Japanese culture.

In the first year of FY2020, Mr. Kenshi Wada, the manager of Kappo cuisine Ryokan Toshimi Rei, who has been in business for the 78th year, talked about the hospitality of Toshimi Rei Ryokan, which continues to operate while keeping an eye on the history of Shimonoseki, what is "hospitality", what is the difference between hotels and inns, and what kind of customers are good for Ryokans.
Although it was held online, it was a viewer-participation-type lecture in which participants and speakers proceeded while interacting. Those who are currently living in Germany and Ireland also gave a friendly lecture that was able to participate with a sense of distance as if they were next to them.
Let's learn the essence of the next Japanese culture! We are preparing for the event in November. We will have a fun meeting, so please join us.
