#GeneralWe had Japanese sweets from companies in the city.
Food Tech Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells sweets in Shimonoseki City, has provided Japanese sweets manufactured by the company (600 daidaigaku mochi, 200 yuzukichi mochi, and 460 yuzukichi Daifuku) to support TUFS students who are in need of part-time jobs due to the influence of COVID-19 infection.
On July 6th (Monday), we held a reception ceremony for Japanese sweets at our university, and Mr. Uryu, Senior Managing Director of Food Tech Co., Ltd., said, "It's a difficult time due to COVID-19, but I want students to eat sweets and get well." After receiving the Japanese sweets, President Yamamura presented a letter of appreciation and thanked President Yamamura, President Kawanami, and student representatives. Mr. Sato, the student representative, said, "Because of COVID-19, classes are remote and we cannot do club activities, so many students are bored. Thank you very much for your kind support. I want to make it a vibrant university with a strong feeling that I will not lose to COVID-19."
The distribution of Japanese sweets to students will start on July 7 (Tuesday).
A cooler box is set up at the front entrance of the main building so that you can take it home freely, so please take it home when you come to school for various procedures.
Please note that the distribution of Japanese sweets on campus will end as soon as it runs out.
