#Seminar activitiesSato (Yu) Seminar conducted fieldwork (Mojiko)
On April 24 (Wednesday), Sato (Yu) seminar conducted fieldwork.
At the Sato (Yu) Seminar (Specialized Exercise I), every year in the spring of the third grader, we visit scenic spots and museums around Shimonoseki. This year, we visited Mojiko Station, which opened its grand opening on March 10, 2019, after the restoration work was completed, and the Kanmon Straits Rabu Museum of the Western Maritime Safety Association, where you can learn about Kanmon Straits.
At the Kanmon Straits Ibukan, we gave a lecture on the outline of the activities of the Western Association for Prevention of Marine Accidents and explained how to protect the safety of the sea in Kanmon Straits. I was able to learn that the safety of Kanmon Straits's navigation was maintained by various mechanisms such as live cameras, automatic ship identification devices (AIS), and meeting coordination systems.
I would like students to enjoy the importance and fun of getting live information using their feet, such as going to the field and seeing them, and listening to the people involved.
Thank you very much for your cooperation in the Western Maritime Safety Association.
