Influenza varies in the degree of epidemic from year to year, but begins every year from November to December, and the number of patients increases between January and March of the following year. Let's prepare for infection by focusing on the following points.
Prevent influenza
- Let's prevent infection by using the disinfectant properties installed in each building in the university.
- Let's get a flu shot. The effect of vaccination begins to appear about two weeks after vaccination and is said to last for about five months.
- Be sure to wash your hands with gargle or soap when returning home or before eating.
- Have a well-balanced diet and plenty of rest to recover from fatigue as soon as possible.
- Avoid crowds and going out to downtown areas, and wear a mask when you go out.
- Let's keep social distance.
If you get flu
- Make sure you have enough water (tea, juice, soup, etc.)
- Visit a medical institution as soon as possible and take a break from school and workplace.
- If you are a student diagnosed with influenza, be sure to contact the Student Affairs Group Student Support Group by phone.
- Let's go to school 5 days after onset and 2 days after fever has resolved.
Cough etiquette
- When coughing or sneezing, hold your mouth and nose with a handkerchief or tissue, turn your face away from others and stay at least 1m away.
- If you have a cough, wear a mask to keep people around you. Also, encourage coughing people to wear a mask.
