In 2018, we held the theme lecture "Thinking about the role of universities for regional revitalization from Shimonoseki"

　October 20, 2018 (Saturday) 13:30-15:30 Theme Lecture “Thinking about the Role of Universities from Shimonoseki to Regional Revitalization” was held at the I-206 classroom on the 2nd floor of the main building of the University.

　Takashi Onishi of President, Toyohashi University of Technology, gave a very valuable talk entitled "The Role of Universities for Regional Revitalization." All the participants were listening eagerly.

　In the second part of the panel discussion, Miki Sasaki, Director of the Urban Development Department of Shimonoseki City, Yoshifumi Takahashi, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University, and Daisuke Nakamura, Associate Professor of the Faculty of International Arts and Sciences, Fukuoka Women's University, were invited to introduce the possibility of university as a regional think tank, with the progress of Associate Professor SUGA Masashi.

　Many citizens participated in the course and asked enthusiastic questions, indicating the high interest in regional revitalization, and the curtain closed successfully. .
