Children and Education of Immigration in the Age of Globalization -From examples of initiatives at elementary schools in Hong Kong Lecturer: ISHIKAWA Tomoko Shimonoseki City University Specially Appointed Professor, Urban Mirai Creation Strategy Organization In the age of globalization, various efforts are being made in the education of immigrant children in countries around the world. In this course, we will share what kind of efforts are being made to correct academic disparities at public elementary schools where many immigrant children attend in Hong Kong. I will talk about what I learned from interviews with principals, teachers and parents from the standpoint of educational sociology. Based on the case of Hong Kong, I would like to be able to discuss with you about the education of children connected to foreign countries in Japan. |
