The current state of Japanese food is said to be "rich food and satiety food." While various imported agricultural and marine products are flowing in from overseas, the domestic self-sufficiency rate is declining. While the rate of externalization of food increases and fast food consumption increases, the ratio of domestic food at home decreases, threatening the maintenance and survival of healthy Japanese-style eating habits. Under these circumstances, the government has enacted the Basic Law on Shokuiku and is working to revive the healthy eating habits of Japanese people, but the results are not apparent early, but are issues that need to be addressed for a long time. In the lecture, you will learn comprehensively about "food and agriculture, food and fishing" and food and food education in Shimonoseki City.

Advanced technology and changes in human, society, and nature
From the perspective of “Completion of Technology” Yoon Gar
Lecturer: Professor Takahiro Kirihara ************************************************* ****** Professor
Advanced technologies such as AI (artificial intelligence), cryptocurrencies, genome editing, and prenatal diagnosis are expected to change significantly. However, what will change and how much will change without certain criteria to determine the change. It is clear from transportation, information equipment, home appliances, etc. that despite the fact that technology has spread and spread and become a part of everyday life, the change is often not noticed even though the lifestyle has changed completely. In this course, we will introduce a passage from the work "Completion of Technology" by German writer Friedrich Georg Yoonger, which was published shortly after World War II, and explore the perspectives of how advanced technologies affect humans, society, and nature. Replacing his critical point of view, "the whole society becomes a technically controlled organization and human beings become part of its functions and participate in the exploitation of nature," into the modern situation, and examining this, I think about the "future of human nature" that can be seen from there.
