Study support
TAs (Teaching Assistants) by students are stationed in the computer training room and LL classroom, providing detailed guidance that cannot be seen by teachers alone, and answering questions from students immediately. In addition, office hours have been set up so that faculty and students can communicate intimately, making it easier for students to visit the laboratory.

Approximately 30% of our students go to school at home, and others live in private apartments. The co-op introduces places within 30 minutes of commuting time, mainly in the vicinity of the university. Room charges vary depending on the area and the degree of room facilities, but recent standards are shown in the table. In addition, electricity, gas, water charges, etc. may be required separately.
For international students who meet the prescribed conditions, Shimonoseki will provide a housing subsidy.
Support for career selection
Career Center Division
Through the activities of Career Center Division, we strive to contribute to the smoother delivery of creative professionals and healthy businessmen fostered by our university to society.
In order to realize job hunting without regrets and highly satisfactory employment, we have established a Career Center Division that covers employment data, information, and materials on the Internet, etc., and are fully supported by faculty members visiting companies and providing one-on-one individual guidance by faculty members.
Taking advantage of the benefits of small universities, faculty and staff work together to strongly back up student job hunting activities. In the fall semester of 1st year, Career Education has been assigned as a subject, and Career Center Division has provided employment guidance and on-campus corporate study groups, and provides opportunities for individual job interviews for all third-year students. Regardless of the grade, from consultation that you are vague about "I do not know what I want to do in the future", to specific consultation directly related to job hunting such as creating application documents and interviewing staff with qualifications as career counselors and employment counselors (Teacher) will respond in a friendly manner. In addition, we distribute "City University Employment E-mail Magazine" to third and fourth graders and provide hot information at any time.
In addition, in order to collect employment information, faculty and staff are developing companies mainly in Chugoku and Shikoku, Kinki, Chubu, Kyushu and Kanto. You can check the information about the companies you visited and the development of companies in Career Center Division. In recent years, with the spread of the Internet, there has been an increasing number of cases in which students and companies have direct contact with each other without going to universities. However, since many years have cultivated relationships with companies, many companies have asked them to recruit jobs via Career Center Division, and many students have been hired by Career Center Division.
Career education
Based on a four-year systematic career education, we aim to develop human resources who can independently design careers and can play an active role in society with confidence.
In addition, we are working on “work experience training and internships” to deepen our understanding of working and identify our abilities.
Mental and physical health
Consultation and Support Center
We have established the Consultation and Support Center to alleviate students' concerns about health, life and learning. Specialized counselors, such as mental health workers, social workers, certified psychologists, clinical psychologists, and nurses, listen to students' worries and support student life in cooperation with stakeholders inside and outside the university as necessary. We also accept consultations from family members.
Acceptance and dispatch of international students
International Exchange Center
In order to foster students with international orientation and knowledge, we hold events to deepen understanding of different cultures and develop international exchange programs. In addition, we provide substantial support for international students (dispatch and acceptance) so that they can live a meaningful and safe study abroad life.
Please check here for information on friendship exchange partner schools, dispatch study abroad, foreign training, and international students.
Consideration for persons with disabilities
The "Student Support Organization Rules" stipulate that grants be provided to organizations that engage in activities related to study support for students with disabilities. In addition, we have a system in which Consultation and Support Center always provides support.
