The top performers in FY2023 have been decided.

Based on the "Osamu Academic Scholarship Program", which was newly launched in 2022, the top performers have been decided.

In this system, students with excellent academic performance are given a scholarship to improve their motivation and encourage them to learn Osamu. Since the selection will be based on the results of the previous year, you may be eligible for the Academic Osamu Incentive from any grade.

This year, a total of 50 students were selected, including 21 Department of Economics, 21 Department of International Commerce, 6 Department of Public Management and 2 international students.

I would like to introduce you to 4 of them. He talked about what he felt when he was selected as an excellent student and his daily efforts for Osamu Gaku.

Please see here for more information about the Osamu Scholarship Program.

[Masanori Shinmoto, 4th grader, Faculty of Economics Department of Economics]

Continuing from last year, I am very pleased to be selected as a top performers. For the past year, I have been working on learning, especially with daily accumulation. Rather than packing before the test or before the deadline for assignments, I worked on preparation, review and assignments every day. In addition, I was conscious of not leaving things I didn't understand or worried about, so I devised learning methods such as using the Internet and books, and creating my own notebooks. This time, I was confident that I was able to evaluate my one-year initiative in this way as a success experience. In the rest of my university life, I would like to learn more about "business administration" in detail, focusing on activities at seminars.

[3rd year student, Faculty of Economics Department of International Commerce, Ms. Hanamasu]

After learning that there is this system, I wanted to be selected once before graduation, so I worked hard. I am very happy to have you actually selected this time. Last year, I tried not to be absent or late in class. During class, I focused on what the teacher was talking about, rather than on board books, and wrote down explanations of important parts and parts that I didn't understand well. Also, since I couldn't concentrate at home, I was preparing and reviewing classes in a vacant classroom during the test period and in empty frames. In the future, I would like to focus on psychology, which is a study that I have always been interested in, and the main theme of the seminar, is psychology. In addition, since I learned the fun of studying management and bookkeeping through my study up to last year, I would like to acquire more specialized knowledge in that field.

[Faculty of Economics Song Song Department of Economics 2]

My thought of being selected as a top performers is pride and joy. I feel that my efforts and learning efforts have been rewarded. Last year's goal was self-growth and acquisition of expertise. To that end, we utilized self-development and information sources outside the university. Through books, articles, and online resources, I worked on themes such as leadership, communication skills, and time management. In the future, I would like to learn in a wider range of fields. The goal is to have a cross-discipline perspective by deepening knowledge of different academic disciplines and related fields. In addition, I plan to participate in internships and volunteer activities to gain practical experience. I would like to improve my problem-solving skills and practical skills while facing the real challenges I get there.

[Yuo Okabe, a second-year student at Department of Public Management Faculty of Economics]

Last year, I was worried about my first "learning at university", but thanks to the cooperation and support of many people, I think I was able to do a fulfilling learning Osamu. Depending on the subject, I prepared the following preparations for what kind of content was, and I was conscious of being able to listen independently. In addition, I practiced the learning Osamu method that suits me so far, and especially valued my daily accumulation. I think it's important not to make temporary decisions because time is limited during busy days. I am very honored that these achievements have led to the selection of top performers. Based on last year's learning, I would like to learn a wide range of fields this year, and learn group work and field work that will be done in the future, as well as what can be used in the future.
