#Scholarships

[Japan Student Services Organization] Implementation of support measures in FY2023

We would like to inform you of the following matters.
Students who meet the following requirements and wish to use the system should consult with Student Support Division in advance and apply by the deadline.

※Please contact Student Support Division as soon as possible to confirm that the requirements of the desired system are met.

1.New recruitment of Type 2 scholarship students for students taking leave of absence (recommendation of scholarship students)

◆Requirements of the Target (persons who meet all of the following 1-4)

  1. Those who meet the criteria for Type 2 scholarships (person, academic ability, household budget) (Those who have received a Type 1 scholarship loan must meet the criteria for combined lending)
  2. Those who have not received a Type 2 scholarship loan at the time of recruitment
  3. Those who take a leave of absence during 2023 and participate in volunteer activities (double-track learning) or are planning to do so
  4. The school principal recognizes that the activities during the leave period are meaningful, such as "social contribution activities", "plus in the major field", "helping the formation of one's own human beings", and the necessity of lending scholarships.

◆Start of loan: (April 2023 to September 2023) during the leave period

◆End of loan: As a general rule, the expected graduation period (the loan period during the leave period is up to one year)

◆Documents to be submitted: Application for recruitment of scholarships during leave of absence (application documents are distributed by Student Support Division)

◆Submission deadline: Monday, May 15, 2023 17:00

2.Continuous loan of Type 2 scholarships for students taking leave of absence (support after recruitment)

◆Requirements of the Target (persons who meet all of the following 1-3)

  1. Those who have received a Type 2 Scholarship Loan in FY2023
  2. Those who take a leave of absence during FY2023 and participate in volunteer activities (double-track learning)
  3. A person whose school principal recognizes that the activities during the leave period of 2 are meaningful and the necessity of loaning scholarships.

◆Lending period: Up to one year from the date of commencement of the activity (If the activity started before FY2022, continuous lending will start in April 2023)

◆Documents to be submitted: “Request for Continuing Scholarship for Leave” (Form is distributed by Student Support Division)

◆Submission deadline: End of each month ※The guideline is from two months before the activity is conducted to two months after the start of the activity.

3.About recruitment of Class 2 scholarships for those who are enrolled beyond the expected graduation period

◆Requirements of the Target (persons who meet all of the following 1-4)

  1. Those who meet the criteria for Class 2 scholarships (person, academic ability, household budget)
  2. Those who have not received the Type 2 Scholarship at the time of application
  3. Those who are forced to attend school beyond the expected graduation period due to special circumstances caused by the disaster or disaster (including the effects of infectious diseases).
  4. A person whose principal recognizes the need for extending the enrollment period beyond the expected graduation period and lending scholarships

◆Start of loan: Select the desired month from April 2023 to September 2023 (If you select from October 2023 to March 2024, apply by autumn recruitment)

◆End of loan: As a general rule, the expected graduation period (up to one year)

◆Documents to be submitted: The application documents will be handed over to Student Support Division. If you are interested, please contact us as soon as possible.

◆Submission deadline: Monday, May 15, 2023 17:00
