The top performers in FY2022 have been decided.

In 2022, a new "Osamu Academic Scholarship Program" has been launched.

In this system, students with excellent academic performance are given a scholarship to improve their motivation and encourage them to learn Osamu. Since the selection will be based on the results of the previous year, you may be eligible for the Academic Osamu Incentive from any grade.

This year, a total of 50 students were selected, including 21 Department of Economics, 21 Department of International Commerce, 6 Department of Public Management and 2 international students.

I would like to introduce you to 4 of them. He talked about what he felt when he was selected as an excellent student and his daily efforts for Osamu Gaku.

Please see here for more information about the Osamu Scholarship Program.

[Mr. Tomomi Ogawa, 4th grader, Faculty of Economics Department of Economics]

I have been working on studying at university with the goal of ensuring that there are no regrets about studying when I graduated from university. The reason is that when I was in high school, I couldn't deal with studying very seriously, and I regretted my study. Since I was in my second year of university, the living environment has changed completely due to the spread of coronavirus, and I was confused by the unfamiliar study environment, but I worked on it by incorporating ideas such as taking a break after watching half of the class video with the above-mentioned goals. As a result, we will be able to be selected as a top performers, and we will continue to work on learning so that we can increase the perspective of society, focusing on studying financial statement analysis at seminars. Many of you who are reading this article have struggled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but I hope that as many people as possible will try their best to leave something that they think they have done in college life.

[Mr. Kusu, 4th grader, Faculty of Economics Department of International Commerce]

I'm very happy to be selected as a top performers. My dream is to become a university teacher. This is my parents and my dream. My parents have been supporting me all the time, so now I'm working hard to fulfill our dreams. Since I was able to study abroad, I am enjoying my class. I think the university is a place where you can interact with teachers. Therefore, after class, I sometimes ask questions to my teacher. The teachers also responded kindly. I always study at school after class. When you are in school, it is easy to concentrate on your studies. Now I am preparing for the graduate school exam. When I was in the fourth grade, I was no longer able to rely on my seniors, and I felt uneasy that my future options were right in front of me. I'm working hard every day with anxiety.

[Takuya Tanimura, 3rd year student, Faculty of Economics Department of International Commerce]

I am very pleased that you have been selected as an excellent student.
I think this election is the result of the support of many people, including teachers who taught me carefully regardless of face-to-face or remote classes, family, friends, etc.
Over the past year, the aim was to be able to systematically explain the actual corporate management activities from an academic perspective. For this reason, we have studied a wide range of fields, mainly in accounting, commercial, and business administration.
In the rest of my university life, I would like to deepen my understanding of management strategy theory from actual examples of companies while making use of my learning until last year. We will continue to make use of what we have learned at university even after graduation, and strive to become a human resource who can contribute to society.

[Madoka Morioka, a second-year student at Department of Public Management Faculty of Economics]

I knew this system itself for a long time, but I was very surprised because I never thought I would be chosen. Also, my choice this time has led me to my motivation to continue studying at 2:3 years.

I valued my daily accumulation by attending face-to-face lectures almost all over the past year, and listening to on-demand lectures many times until I understood the contents. In addition to what was written in the resume, I always tried to take notes on what I thought was important in my teacher's remarks and what I explained verbally in an easy-to-understand manner.

In the future, I think the content will become more specialized and complicated than around the year, so I would like to value the accumulation of daily life. In the future, I would like to actually learn the knowledge necessary to revitalize the region and solve local issues through fieldwork.
