[Report: Industry-Government-Academia Studies] Research on Securing Welfare Human Resources-Focusing on Shimonoseki City-
Reporter: Professor Toshimitsu Nanba
Joint Research Representative: Professor Yumiko Tanaka
Overview:
With the declining birthrate and aging population in Japan, we are in a situation where we can secure welfare personnel. Especially in the Chugoku region, the shortage of welfare-related staff (especially nursing care staff) may be a major problem. In Shimonoseki City, it is considered necessary to further train welfare-related workers in response to a remarkable population decline and a super-aging society. With the above social situation in mind, we will grasp the welfare-related facilities in Shimonoseki City and the efforts of Shimonoseki City Hall, and report that can be reflected in administrative measures.
