Return of scholarships after graduation and various procedures

The loan scholarship provided by the Japan Student Services Organization is loaned by you during your university enrollment and must be returned after graduation. The returned scholarship is immediately loaned as a junior scholarship, and if the return is not carried out smoothly, it will seriously hinder the junior scholarship loan. Please understand the mechanism of this system, which can only be achieved by fulfilling your responsibilities as a scholar, and be sure to return it as promised.

Description

  1. Return of scholarships
Return start (first transfer date) is October 27, 2021 (Wednesday). It will be automatically transferred from the registered relay account. (In the case of March 31, 2021)
Check the registered financial institution in advance and be careful not to make a transfer impossible due to insufficient balance.

       ※Notes※

    • Please note that if the refund is delayed due to insufficient balance or non-submission of notification, etc., it will be overdue and a late payment fee will be charged.
    • If you continue to be in arrears, your personal information will be registered with the "Personal Credit Information Authority", and you may not be able to set up credit card usage restrictions, mortgage loans, etc.

  2. About various procedures
If there is any change in the information (address, work place, telephone number, etc.) entered in the return pledge, please notify the Japan Student Services Organization using the prescribed form or a dedicated website (Scalarnet Personal). If you do not notify us of the change, you may not receive important notices from the Japan Student Services Organization, and you may have trouble.

  3. About advanced return
All or part of the installments that have not yet been refunded may be refunded. If you wish to return early, please apply using the prescribed format or a dedicated homepage (Scalar Net Personal).

  4. When it becomes difficult to return
If the scholarship student becomes difficult to return due to economic difficulties, unemployment, injury or illness, disaster, etc., he / she can request a reduction (reduction refund) or a postponement of the refund deadline.
