At the 2020 Shimonoseki City Japan National Council of Social Welfare Chairman's Award Ceremony held at the Shimonoseki City Social Welfare Center Great Hall on Friday, November 20, 2020 MINKEN received the "Good Deeds Award".

　MINKEN is a circle developed from the folk tale study group, and has continued various volunteer activities in the city centering on puppet shows, picture story show, and reading picture books.
　This activity has been evaluated as a "group that has been serving for many years to promote social welfare and is recognized as a model for citizens" and has been awarded.

　Currently, extracurricular activities are restricted due to the influence of COVID-19, but when the activities resume, I hope that they will play an active part in events in the city.
