On October 21 (Wed) and 22 (Thursday), fifteen students from Yamaguchi Prefectural Shimonoseki Secondary School (second-year high school students) visited our university and presented their research.
This is a high-university collaboration initiative in which students at Shimonoseki Secondary School set their own tasks and provide advice on research and research conducted from a multifaceted perspective over a year.
This year, President Kawanami, Vice President of Korea, Professor Kanado, Professor Suga, Associate Professor Sugiura, and Professor Takeuchi gave advice to all five groups of students, but the level of the students I was surprised.
On the day of the event, Mr. Kenshi Wada, the third president of Kappo cuisine Ryokan Toshimi Rei, also visited us and provided advice unique to employees from a professional point of view.
The students seemed to have achieved great results, saying, "I received advice from a point of view that we didn't think about," and "I got a lot of new insights."
Students will complete their research papers based on this advice in the future.
I hope this visit will lead to a further leap for the students.
