On March 14, 2019 (Thursday), the 6th Fuku Archives Fugu Symposium was held in the large conference room on the second floor of Karato-ichiba.

　This time, the “Inbound Consumption Revitalization Review Committee Utilizing Shimonoseki Fugu” was held three times in August, October, and January 2019. Based on what was discussed by the Review Committee, a report was prepared. This symposium was held to widely disseminate various proposals written in the report.

　In the first part of the lecture, Professor Hidetsugu Hamada of Tohoku University gave a lecture entitled "Regional Revitalization through Inbound Measures Utilizing Shimonoseki Fugu". Professor Hiroji Yokoyama of Tohoku University gave a lecture on "Latest Analysis and Problems Concerning Fugu Consumption" conducted by Professor Hiroji Yokoyama of Tohoku University.

　In the second part of the panel discussion, entitled "Shimonoseki Fugu and Regional Revitalization", Professor Hidetsugu Hamada and Hiroshi Yokoyama, Representative Director Toshitaka Mochizuki, Representative Director of Kawahisa Co., Ltd. A panel discussion was held with Mr. Mitsuru Sasaki, a member of the China branch of Minato Yamaguchi Godo Shimbun Co., Ltd...

　All the participants listened very enthusiastically to various proposals for regional revitalization utilizing Shimonoseki pufferfish, and it was a fruitful symposium.

　The Fuku Archives, together with the Whale Archives, will contribute to the community by further encouraging research and enhancing the materials in the future. We look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation in the future.
