Prevention of influenza

Influenza is characterized by severe systemic symptoms such as sudden high fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain. Symptoms such as sore throat, nasal discharge, and cough are also seen. It is also characterized by bronchitis, pneumonia, etc., which can be severe.
Influenza varies in the degree of epidemic from year to year, but begins every year from November to December, and the number of patients increases between January and March of the following year. Let's prepare for infection by focusing on the following points.

Prevent influenza
  1. Get a vaccination (vaccination) before the flu season.
  2. Be sure to wash your hands with gargle or soap when returning home or before eating.
  3. Have a well-balanced diet and plenty of rest to recover from fatigue as soon as possible.
  4. Viruses can easily breed when the humidity is low, so keep the room humidity at 50-60%.
  5. Avoid crowds and going out to downtown areas, and wear a mask when you go out.

※It takes about two weeks for the effect to appear after vaccination, and the effect is said to last for about five months.
※Gargle and hand washing are effective not only for influenza.
※The disinfectant is sterilized when vaporized, so rub it into your hand and let it dry naturally. (If you wipe your hands with a handkerchief or towel, you will not get enough effect.)
※Disinfectants are installed in each building in the university, so please use them.

If you get flu
  1. Make sure you have enough water (tea, juice, soup, etc.)
  2. Let's rest and take enough rest. Visit a medical institution as soon as possible and take a break from school and workplace.
  3. Wear a mask and refrain from going out so that you do not pass on to others.
  4. Use the medicine correctly according to the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist. If you feel something wrong with the medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible.
Cough etiquette
  1. When coughing or sneezing, hold your mouth and nose with a handkerchief or tissue, turn your face away from others and stay at least 1m away.
  2. If you have a cough, wear a mask to keep people around you. Also, encourage coughing people to wear a mask.
Others
