On February 9 (Wednesday), the Fugu Symposium (online) was held.
　This symposium was held online, entitled "Toward the Reinstatement of the Shimonoseki Fuku Brand".
　Shugo Watabe, Professor Emeritus of the University of Tokyo and Professor Specially Appointed Professor of the Faculty of Marine and Life Sciences, Kitasato University, gave a presentation on the issue of this symposium.
　Professor Takashi Sato, the general moderator, served as the symposium proceeded. In Part 1, individual lectures and reports were given by seven instructors. Lecturers talked from various angles on each theme.
　In Part 2, lecturers continued to discuss the theme of a panel discussion "Strategic Issues for Reinstatement of the Shimonoseki Fugu Brand". There was also a question and answer session from the participants, and the panel discussion was heated.
　Finally, Dr. Takashi Sato gave the closing remarks and ended. Despite being held during the daytime on weekdays, many people participated. Listening to the symposium eagerly, and it was a very fruitful symposium with more valuable opinions and suggestions.

　In fiscal 2021, as the COVID-19 pandemic continued, it was a year of trial and error to return to everyday life. While some events were held online, some events were held to prevent infection, while others were forced to cancel. In the next fiscal year, we plan and implement it in a better way while watching the COVID-19 infection status. In addition, we will focus on regional cooperation and contribute more to the local community. We look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation in the future.
