On January 22nd (Fri), the New Year, Industry-Government-Academia Online Lecture was held.

　The theme of the lecture was "To live in the information society in the future: with marketing research and statistics as an example." Mr. Kimihisa Kudo of GMO Research Co., Ltd. asked for a lecturer and talked. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was held at an online lecture using Zoom.

　At the beginning, there was a greeting from President Yoichi Kawanami and a message from Mayor Shintaro Maeda Shimoseki. After that, Mr. Kudo, Director of the Center for Regional Co-creation, YANAGI Jun, introduced a video lecture. In the lecture, he spoke about the specific scenes in which data science is used, using marketing research and statistics as examples.

　The participants were eager to listen, although it was held online. After the lecture, we set up a live Q & A session, and the lecturer Kudo carefully answered various questions received from students, faculty and staff, administrative staff, etc., one by one, and it was a very fruitful lecture .

　The Regional Co-creation Center will continue to contribute to the community by focusing on industry-government-academia collaboration and conducting various projects. We look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation in the future.
