On January 22 (Fri), an online lecture on New Year, industry-government-academia was held.

　The theme of the lecture was "To live in the Information Society in the Future: Using Marketing Research and Statistics as Examples." We asked Mr. Kimihisa Kudo of GMO Research Co., Ltd. for a lecturer and talked. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held at an online lecture using Zoom.

　At first, there was a greeting from President Yoichi Kawanami and a message from Mayor Shimoseki Shintaro Maeda. After that, Mr. Kudo was introduced by Mr. YANAGI Jun, Director of Regional Co-creation Center, and started a video lecture. In the lecture, they talked about specific scenes in which data science is used, using marketing research and statistics as examples.

　The participants were held online, but they listened enthusiastically. After the lecture, a lively question-and-answer session was set up, and Mr. Kudo, the lecturer, carefully answered various questions received from students, teachers, administrative staff, etc., and the lecture was very fruitful. .

　The Regional Co-creation Center will continue to focus on industry-government-academia collaboration in the future, and will contribute to the region by conducting various projects. We look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation.
