We are studying economic development in the Asian region, mainly in Cambodia.

Consider the theme of development economy

Development economics is a field of economics that considers poverty reduction and economic development in developing countries. There are a number of economic issues in developing countries, such as hunger, discrimination, infectious diseases, conflict, child labor, and the environment. On the other hand, as globalization progresses, new technological innovations have arisen in developing countries, making them even more advanced than in Japan. If you look at Japan from a different perspective after understanding the development issues of developing countries, you can learn something new. The purpose of this seminar is to acquire the ability to understand the economic and social aspects of developing countries from a broad perspective while reading literature on economic development in developing countries.
