How to find materials

    Could you tell me how to find a book?

  • A

    You can search by OPAC (Collection Search) to check the holdings of the University Library.

    OPAC

    Enter the content you want to check in "Book name" or "Keyword" and press "Search".
    You can check the detailed information by pressing the title of the book you want to see.

    [Distribution destination] Check the location of the book, such as the reading room and student selection corner.
    [Billing Symbol] It will be arranged in the order of placement.
    ・The first number is arranged in the order of 000 to 999.
    ・The second row of Roman letters is arranged in the order of A to Z.
    First, find the numbers and then search in alphabetical order.

    I can't find the book I'm looking for.

    ■ Is there a place to arrange?
    There is no book written as "library" in the "reading room". First of all, please check the distribution destination (corner).

    ■ Isn't it on loan?
    If the "Document Status" is "Lending", it is not on the bookshelf.
    If you want to borrow immediately after returning it, you can also make a reservation.

    ■ Is it an economic book?
    There are a lot of books on economics at our university. There are many books of the same classification, so try to find below the decimal point.

    ■ It may be placed in a slightly deviated place.

    What is a library?

    The following library is available as a place to arrange.
    1. Library … You can fill in the "Request for Search in the Library" and enter and search. Books, back issues of magazines, newspapers (for the past year), etc.
    2. A collection library … Only faculty and staff can enter. There are bulletins, foreign magazines, reference books, etc. When using the service, the staff will take it out, so please speak to the counter.
    3. New collection library … Only faculty and staff can enter. When using the service, the staff will take it out, so please speak to the counter.

    Could you tell me how to borrow a book?

    Please bring your student ID card and the book you want to borrow to the counter.
    If you forget your student ID card, you will not be able to borrow it.

    How many books can I borrow?

    Students usually borrow 4 books for 2 weeks

    Can I borrow audiovisual materials such as DVDs?

    DVDs are not available. Please use it in the museum.
    CDs, CD-ROMs, etc. attached to books can be borrowed.

    Please return it in one of the following ways.
    1. Please bring it to the library counter.
    2. Please mail it to the book return box installed at the front entrance on the first floor of the main building.
    ※Items that come with fragile materials such as wet books and CDs cannot be posted to the return box. Please be sure to return it at the library counter.
    ※Please note that return processing is completed on an opening, the following day day of the mailed day.

    If you return after the return date, you will not be able to borrow for the excess number of days.
    ・If you are overdue for 30 days, the number of days of arrears + 30 days of lending is prohibited
    ・If you are overdue for 60 days, you will not be able to borrow for 30 days + 30 days and admission for 30 days.

    I'd like to extend the book.

    Please come to the library counter with your book and student ID card.
    It can be extended only once. Books with special obi and books with reservations cannot be extended.

    It cannot be returned by the due date due to injury or illness. What should I do?

    You can search for collections and make reservations for books that are being borrowed by the following method. (Only on campus)

    Materials that are not owned by the University can be borrowed from other institutions. Please contact the library counter.
    In the case of actual borrowing, the shipping cost for round trip will be borne by the client.

    In order to use the library of another university, you will need to contact the other party's library in advance and a letter of introduction. We also provide such advance notice and issuance of a letter of introduction, so please consult with the University Library in advance about 2 weeks to 30 days prior to the date you wish to visit.

    There are 3 PCs for Internet browsing. Please submit the application form at the counter when using the service. (Only available to students on campus.)
    ※Up to 1 hour at a time. (Extension is possible up to one time.) Up to 2 hours in a row.

    Can I bring my own computer and use it?

    You can do it. You can connect to Wi-Fi on campus. If you need a power supply when you hit the keyboard or use it for a long time, please use the seat in the PC room on the third floor.

    Do I need to go through the library?

    ・If you only use the library on the day, you can fill out the "Temporary Use Application Form", browse the books in the library, and copy the literature.
    ・If you wish to borrow books, we will create a library user ID. Please bring your identity verification documents. It will be issued on the day.
    (Example of ID card) License, insurance card, my number card, passport, student handbook, etc.

    Is there an expiration date for the library user ID?

    The expiration date is until March 31, the end of the year.
    If you have created it in the past, we will create a new one after April every year.

    Is it possible to use only seats?

    It is a seat for you to use the university's collection. Please refrain from using so-called seating.

    The book was wet and damaged.

  • A

    Please bring it to the library counter as soon as possible.
    ※In the case of water wet, you can leave it wet without trying to dry it with a dryer, etc. Please bring it to the library immediately. If you post it to the return box, other books will get wet, so please be sure to contact the library counter.
    ※If it is damaged, bring it with you if you have broken pieces.
    ※Items that cannot be restored even if the library staff repairs them, will be compensated by purchasing the actual item.
