Current research theme
Set in Europe in the late Middle Ages, the main research themes have been in areas such as urban history, handicraft history, and modern state formation history. In particular, in recent years, focusing on the cities of the Netherlands and the state of Bourgogne as concrete targets, focusing on investigating the emergence of modern states from the relationship between cities and feudal states.

Specialized Exercise "World History from the View of Things"
Basic Exercise “History of European Integration”
In the specialized exercises, we aim to understand a part of the theory of world systems by reading literature on world goods under the framework of "World History of Things".
In the basic exercises, students will learn techniques related to studying at university, reporting, and writing papers with the main theme of "Intellectual Production Technology". In addition, we will give an overview of the "European Integration Process" through reading texts.
