The International Collaborative Research Report Meeting was held on July 18 (Tuesday), hosted by the City Mirai Creation Strategy Organization.
As a university located in the port city of Shimonoseki, international joint research is being conducted in cooperation with industry and government to strengthen the functions of international logistics bases and contribute to the production of internationally active human resources.
Professor Yuji Takeuchi (Director of the City Mirai Creation Strategy Organization) started research in 2022 with Daegu University in South Korea under the theme of "The current situation and future of Shimonoseki City, which aims to become a logistics base overseas."
At the debriefing session, Professor Takeuchi presented the results up to last fiscal year on the possibility of a new route between Japan and Korea, especially the possibility that Shimonoseki City will be a host city in Japan.
Not only students and faculty members of the University, but also many citizens, including the Director of the Port and Harbor Bureau of Shimonoseki City, attended the briefing session and listened to Professor Takeuchi's presentation.
