On the evening of June 14 (Wednesday), a public lecture at Civic University, "Shimonoseki / Moji Town on Prewar Maps" was opened. .
This year, face-to-face open lectures have been resumed for the first time in four years, and this is the first lecture in the form of lectures mainly for citizens. .
The 27 students looked at many valuable materials and old maps, and traced the interesting history that transportation at the barrier was realized in the present form after twists and turns.
At the venue, a map of pre-war Shimonoseki and Moji printed on large paper was also prepared for reference, and it was impressive that the students were stacking with the current cityscape and happily discussing what they noticed.
