On April 7 (Sun) and 8 (Mon), 2013, we conducted training for first-year students in Department of Public Management. (Place: Shimonoseki Youth House)

　This training was held with the aim of deepening ties between students through various orientations and by sleeping and eating together, and creating connections with seniors and faculty members. This was the third time, and the second and third graders also participated as facilitators, supporting new students to start university life with peace of mind.

　After the group was divided into groups, through discussions to understand the purpose of Department of Public Management, mini athletic meet, consultations and social gatherings with faculty and staff, the tension of new students was relaxed and laughter began to rise.

　In the questionnaire after the end of the survey, many students answered "It was meaningful," and said, "I was worried, but I was glad to participate." He said, "I was able to talk with various people and make friends." It will be held in Department of Public Management as an important event to welcome new students as the first step in making friends and creating goals for university life.
