The 64th Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet Fall Karate Competition was held

 On November 26, 2017 (Sunday), the autumn tournament of the "Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet (Autumn) Karate Competition" was held at Shimonoseki Budokan, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

 On the day of the event, 5 universities participated, and 7 boys and 5 girls participated from TUFS Karate Club. In addition, members other than the players also played a role in setting up the venue and proceeding, and all members managed the tournament as a whole.

 The main results of our university players are as follows.

 ・Ryotaro Nishimatsu (2nd year Department of Economics)
            Hirohiro Kajiyama (2nd year Department of Economics)
            Ryosuke Murai (2nd year Department of Public Management)
            Riku Tsujita (Department of Economics 1st year)
            Takuma Yamada (Department of International Commerce 1st year)
 ・Hirohiro Kajiyama (2nd year Department of Economics)
         3rd place Ryotaro Nishimatsu (2nd year Department of Economics)
 ・Maki Yanagimoto (2nd year in Department of International Commerce)
 ・Daimasa Fujii (1st year in Department of International Commerce)
         2nd place Hirohiro Kajiyama (2nd year Department of Economics)

 In this tournament, five athletes participated in women's individual kumite, which had not participated from our university for more than 10 years, and one of them was ranked second. In addition, boys have achieved three consecutive victories since last year's autumn tournament as a group kumite, winning the first and second place in the individual form and the second and third place in the individual kumite.
 It is expected that the university's Karate Club will continue to play an active role in the future.
