The Shorinji Kempo Club of Tohoku University will participate in the national convention to be held at the end of October.

　The Shorinji Kempo Club participated in the 44th Yamaguchi Prefecture Shorinji Kempo Tournament, which also serves as a selection event for the national tournament held on June 5, 2016 (Sunday), and 11 students who achieved excellent results. Has won the right to participate in the "2016 Shorinji Kempo National Convention in Oita".
　The Shorinji Kempo Club is practicing under the guidance of university OBs, and students who have started Shorinji Kempo after entering university will also participate in this national tournament. This year marks the fifth consecutive year of participation in the national competition.

　At the send-off party held on campus, participants expressed their willingness to participate in the national convention to Chair and President, and paid a courtesy call to the Deputy Mayor of Shimonoseki.
　Captain Taiichiro Yamaguchi said, "I will participate in the national tournament on behalf of Yamaguchi Prefecture and carry the signboard of Shimonoseki City University Shorinji Kempo Club on my back. I will be aware of the actions and behaviors other than the performance and value them. " He is expected to play an active role in national competitions. Thank you very much for your support.
