 We will sell bread jointly developed by TUFS students and Shimonoseki Daimaru Co., Ltd. from November 26, 2014 (Wednesday).

Product Overview

Theme "Asaichi Yamaguchi feels good to eat"
First of all, we focused on bread that is comfortable to eat (taste, texture, etc.) using specialty products from Yamaguchi Prefecture. The theme included the desire to have a good start of the day by eating this bread.

History of Product Development

This product development is one of the initiatives of "Joint Independent Research (PBL)" offered by Shimonoseki City University as a regular course subject. PBL is an abbreviation of Project Based Learning, as "problem-solving learning", students work on solving problems and proposing plans while receiving actual guidance from members of society about problems faced by companies and local governments.
This time, we will jointly develop with Shimonoseki Daimaru for the first time. Shimonoseki Daimaru renovated the basement food floor this spring, but in order to attract more customers, university students thought, "Let's provide unique products using agricultural products related to Yamaguchi." In a store that is closely related to breakfast and is used by a wide range of age groups, bread development is based on the fact that bread can demonstrate its uniqueness.
