#HygienePrevention of influenza
Influenza is characterized by strong systemic symptoms such as sudden high fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain, and has symptoms such as sore throat, nasal discharge, and cough. It is also characterized by bronchitis, pneumonia, etc., which can be severe.
Influenza varies in the degree of epidemic depending on the year, but usually starts from November to December and increases the number of patients between January and March of the following year. Let's prevent infection by focusing on the following points.
Prevent influenza
- Get a vaccination before the flu season.
- Be sure to gargle and wash your hands when you return from home or before eating.
- Eat well-balanced meals and plenty of rest to avoid fatigue.
- Keep the room humidity at 50-60%.
- Avoid crowds and going out to downtown areas, and wear a mask when you go out.
※Gargle and hand washing are not limited to flu.
※The disinfectant is sterilized when vaporized, so rub it into your hand and let it dry naturally. (If you wipe your hands with a handkerchief or towel, you will not get enough effect.)
※Disinfectants are installed in each building in the university, so please use them.
If you get flu
- Make sure you have enough water (tea, juice, soup, etc.)
- Let's rest and take enough rest. Visit a medical institution as soon as possible to receive treatment and take a break from school and workplace.
- Wear a mask and refrain from going out so that you do not pass on to others.
- Use the medicine correctly according to the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist. If you feel something wrong with the medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible.
Cough etiquette
- When coughing or sneezing, hold your mouth and nose with a handkerchief, tissue, etc., and turn your face away from others and stay at least 1m.
- If you have a cough, wear a mask to keep people around you. Also, encourage coughing people to wear a mask.
Others
- If you have a cold-like symptom (cough, sore throat, etc.) for a long time, consult a medical institution as soon as possible.
