On November 25, 2018 (Sunday), the 65th Kitakyusyu-Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet (Autumn) Karate Competition was held at Shimonoseki Budokan, Yamaguchi Prefectural Government.
On the day of the event, 4 boys and 5 girls participated from TUFS Karatedo Club. In addition, members other than the players also played a role in setting up the venue and proceeding, and all members managed the tournament as a whole.
Among TUFS players, Yumi Okada, a first-year student in Department of Public Management, was ranked first in the women's personal event. Mr. Okada is the second consecutive victory following the Spring Games held in June.
The university's Karate Club, which also participated in this year's national tournament, is expected to play an increasingly active role in the future.
