On Saturday, June 16, 2018 a total of 18 staff members participated in the 3rd ONSEN Gastronomy Walking in Nagato Tawarayama, sponsored by the Nagato City Tourism Convention Association, held in Tawarayama, Nagato City.
At the Gastronomy Walking held at Tawarayama Onsen, one of the leading hot-spring resort prefectures in Yamaguchi Prefecture, about 70 participants from all over the prefecture walk through the fresh greenery while touching the soil and water, and enjoyTawarayamalocally brewed sakeTawarayama and herbs. The students "hospitality" with the local people while serving dishes and providing course guidance.
In this year's seminar, we value fieldwork in addition to classroom lectures, and students become supporters of NPO Yuyu Green Tawarayama, a community-building organization in the Tawarayama area, and learn a lot from local people while supporting community development.
At the next Gastronomy in the Tawarayama area on November 17th, a new walking course and an original menu will be devised so that more people inside and outside the prefecture can feel and learn about the charm of Tawarayama. By all means, I would like students to participate, think about the ideal way of public management, and have the opportunity to learn a lot from local people.
