On July 13 (Thursday), at the 314-315 Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of the New Building of the West Japan Exhibition Hall, co-hosted by the Kitakyusyu City University Regional Strategic Research Institute and the University of Regional Co-creation Center, the “Kanmon Regional Joint Study Group Results Report Meeting” was held.
　After opening remarks by Vice President of Kitakyusyu City University and Director of the Regional Strategy Research Institute, Professor Akira Uchida, Lecturer Chieko Terada, and Professor Toshimitsu Nanba reported on the results of the FY2016 academic year. 　As a second part, a symposium entitled "Regional Disaster Prevention and Reconstruction" was held. Based on the Kumamoto Earthquake and the Great East Japan Earthquake, we discussed "disaster prevention in the Kanmon area and the direction of community development." Hidetsugu Hamada, Director of the Regional Co-creation Center attached to Shimonoseki City University, closed the meeting.
